Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Collective?

The Future Church Collective is a three-day, tool-based, collaborative workshop where church leaders at every level can spend time designing 2022 according to their movement’s God-ordained calling.

This is not “copy and paste” ministry advice. Instead, we’ll train you to use our tools to reveal your unique vision and strategies for the future.

No keynotes. No vendors. Let’s get to work on designing your better future together.

Where is the Collective being held?

All three days of the Collective will be hosted at:

Peachtree Presbyterian Church
3417 Roswell Rd NW
Atlanta, GA 30305

*Free parking is available in the parking deck behind the building.

Who should come to the Collective?

All are welcome! Pastors, church staff, disciple-making practitioners, coaches, and consultants who are either using our clarity tools or are interested in our various process toolboxes.

Bring your team with you or come by yourself. Come for one day or all three! Each day is designed to explore different questions in church leadership. View the schedule for each day above.

I am already working with one of the Future Church Co. organizations. Is this for me?

Absolutely! Come together with others who are finding benefit and breakthrough from the Future Church Co. tools and processes. Separate tracks will be available each day for those already in a Denominee, Pivvot/Funnel Fusion, or Younique process.

What will I walk away with?

Inspiration: Use the Collective to launch 2022 inspired for ministry. The future is still being discovered. Take this time to hear from God and lean into a vision that will energize you and your people for the next year.

A Best Next Step: Whether you are new to our tools or have been wrestling with clarity processes for years, we’ve designed our time together so that each person will have the chance to experience a breakthrough moment. This is not “copy and paste” ministry advice. Instead, we’ll train you to use our tools to reveal your mission’s unique calling. Come curious and expectant!

Tools for Leadership: Evaluation and sharpening are habits of all good leaders. We have curated specific tools to facilitate perspective and insight. We want you to get that next step of clarity today that is executable tomorrow.

Encouragement and Hope: Learn more by hearing and seeing what others are doing. Be encouraged that Jesus is dedicated to building his church. And gain hope from knowing we are not alone in this journey.

What will a typical day look like?

Each day will begin together with prayer and a biblical framework for the day.

We will meet in large rooms with participants seated around round tables for opportunities to work with our paradigm-shifting tools and engage in strategic conversations. Teams can choose to be seated together for the duration of the Collective for collaboration or scattered throughout the room for strategic cross-pollination. If you bring your team, please let us know your preference.

Afternoon sessions are designed with two different tracks. One track is for those new to the three unique  toolkits we created to address three specific ministry areas: denominations (Denominee), churches (Pivvot), and discipleship (Younique). The second track is for existing users of our tools who want to engage in custom conversations to go further and gain new breakthroughs. We will host conversations and introduce new tools to help you make progress and learn from the best practices of others who are also sharing the journey.

See the detailed schedule information above.

Do I have to do anything before I arrive?

Yes! To have the best experience possible, there are a few items for you to manage before arriving:

Where do I stay?

There are several great hotel options for any budget nearby.

What is the dress code?

Dress is super casual. Wear clothes that are comfortable to you. Meeting rooms can be cool. We recommend layering for maximum comfort! Bring a sweater or jacket for indoors (in addition to outdoors if attending in the winter months).

What do I bring?

Materials will be waiting for you! Leave a little room in your backpack or suitcase to bring the materials home. You are also welcome to bring a favorite journal, pen or pencil. If you are more comfortable with digital then feel free to bring a laptop or ipad, but it is not necessary.

What about food?

Lunch will be provided each day in addition to refreshments all day. We love hospitality … food is love!

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We are happy to accommodate reasonable dietary needs. Email us at [email protected] and let us know how we can help provide for you during the Collective. If you have really specific dietary needs we do suggest bringing along some items you will need for the day.

Are spouses welcome?

Absolutely! We have found it very powerful for couples to participate in the conversations and share perspective in ministry together. Each spouse will need their own day or 3-day pass.

I still have questions ...

That’s ok! That is what we are here for. We are here to help! Email us at [email protected] and we can answer any question you might have.
